Join Workato as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, specializing in PostgreSQL database administration. You will be responsible for all aspects of the data layer, including index and schema design, query optimization, and database operations. You will work closely with application teams on data-model decisions and drive incident response for database-related issues. - Assurer la gestion quotidienne des opérations PostgreSQL dans tous les centres de données de production, y compris la création d'index sur de grandes tables partitionnées, l'analyse des plans de requête, les examens de schéma et les migrations de données. - Collaborer avec les équipes d'application sur les décisions de modèle de données, y compris la conception, la partition, la rétention et la consolidation, et fournir des données pour soutenir les décisions de conception. - Transformer les procédures manuelles en automatisation fiable et répétable, y compris les mises à niveau, les basculements, la provisionnement de bases de données/utilisateurs.
- Practical experience with logical replication, major-version upgrades, and low-downtime migration techniques - 5+ years of hands-on operational PostgreSQL experience (DBA / database reliability role) - Production experience with managed PostgreSQL (Aurora or RDS) and a clear-eyed view of its constraints - Experience with connection pooling (PgBouncer or similar) in production - Strong command of query plans, indexing strategy, and performance work on multi-TB tables - Working proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices; comfortable in Linux - Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred); strong incident-management and RCA skills - Scripting ability (Bash, Python or GO) and an automation-first mindset - Operational exposure to ClickHouse, OpenSearch, or Redis/Valkey, Neo4j - Kubernetes fundamentals (our poolers, proxies, and exporters run on EKS) - Experience with Vault, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows - Comfort using AI coding assistants to accelerate routine analysis and tooling
