Senior Data Scientist (Finance & Strategy)

Join Chime, a leading FinTech company, as a Senior Data Scientist. In this highly cross-functional role, you will partner with various teams to build a holistic view of the business's performance, support investor relations, and contribute to strategic projects. You will need a strong background in data analysis, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills.

- A track record of building trusted relationships and working cross-functionally with many teams at once - Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical role before moving into data (highly valued) - Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy. You reconcile numbers across sources, pressure-test your own work, and understand the stakes of getting it right - Agility and comfort with ambiguity. You reprioritize quickly, perform well under tight deadlines, and bring structure to open-ended problems - Strong financial acumen: fluency in financial statements, unit economics, and the KPIs investors use to evaluate business performance. Familiarity with public company reporting, earnings, and disclosures is a plus - Strong business intuition and the ability to think holistically about how a company creates value (FinTech or financial services experience a plus) - Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with experience distilling complex analyses into clear, concise narratives for senior leaders. Experience with Hex is a plus - 5+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on work in data-focused roles delivering analyses for an executive audience - Experience building data models in dbt, and fluency with AI coding and analytics tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) - Expert-level SQL and proficiency in Python for analysis
