Join LSEG's Corporate Engineering AI team as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for scaling safe, high-quality AI capabilities across the enterprise. You will own and operate core AI platforms, deliver a production-grade agentic AI platform, and establish evaluation, quality control, and governance mechanisms. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, hands-on experience with LLM and agent frameworks, and practical understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Lead the development and operation of core AI platforms, including LSEG AI Assist and the Question Answering Service (QAS). - Define standards, patterns, and platform capabilities that allow product teams to progressively move towards self-service contribution. - Establish evaluation, quality control, and governance mechanisms so MCP tools and Skills can be promoted through PTB/PTO and operated with confidence at scale.
- Strong Python development experience - Hands‑on experience with LLM and agent frameworks and agentic reasoning patterns - Practical understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP), including server and tool patterns - FastAPI and REST API design and implementation experience - Containerisation and Kubernetes‑based deployment experience - Experience with prompt engineering and RAG‑based architectures - Ability to work across platform, product, and governance boundaries in an enterprise environment
