Data Scientist (Finance)

Join <Booking.com> as a Data Scientist II in Amsterdam, where you'll be part of the Global Finance Analytics team. In this role, you'll design and execute experiments and data science solutions to optimize collection interventions, improve payout outcomes, and enhance the financial journey for partners. You'll work closely with various teams, including O2C Operations, Finance, FinTech, product teams, and data and engineering peers. - Strong stakeholder management, data visualization and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence decisions - Proven experience applying data science to complex business problems and delivering measurable outcomes - Experience in finance, payments, collections, operational optimization or mentoring junior colleagues is desirable - Strong knowledge of experimental design, A/B testing, statistical inference and quantitative decision-making - Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R, with experience preparing and modelling large datasets - Familiarity with modern data platforms and workflows such as Snowflake, Spark, dbt, ETL and data-quality practices
