At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
ABOUT THE MARKETPLACE TEAM:
Snowflake Marketplace https://www.snowflake.com/en/product/features/marketplace/snowflake-marketplace-for-providers/ serves as the vibrant hub which enables customers to do more with data. We are building a platform that empowers organizations to seamlessly discover, access, and build with valuable datasets, cutting-edge applications, and intelligent AI agents.
We are rethinking the architecture and reimagining the user experience to build a best-in-class product that scales to meet the demands of our global customer and partner ecosystem. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and driving customer value. This is a high-impact role where you will have a direct impact on the product and the opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU WILL:
- Design, develop, and deliver features across our full stack that have a direct impact on our customers and partners.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
- Build robust and high-performance systems to support the Marketplace platform
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, while contributing to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Be a strong contributor to the overall product and technical direction of the area
OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping customer-facing features on production systems.
- A strong foundation in full-stack development from frontend to backend using technologies like Java, Python, Golang and React/Typescript
- A genuine passion for building customer-facing products and a drive to solve problems that create real value for users.
- A strong understanding of core computer science concepts and web application architecture, including security, performance, and scalability.
AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU WILL:
- Build and own end-to-end full-stack features — from polished checkout and billing UIs to the backend services that process, validate, and settle marketplace transactions at scale
- Design and implement robust backend APIs and services in Java or Python that handle the lifecycle of commercial transactions: entitlements, AI usage metering, invoicing, and payment orchestration
- Develop reusable, accessible component libraries and systems that give buyers and sellers clear visibility into usage, spend, and revenue — working closely with design to deliver intuitive experiences
- Contribute to the reliability, correctness, and observability of high-stakes transactional pipelines — including fraud prevention, idempotency guarantees, and audit logging
- Collaborate with product, operations, and Billing teams to model and evolve the data schemas and APIs that underpin Snowflake’s Marketplace.
- Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning; raise the bar for engineering quality across the Monetization team
- Identify gaps in test coverage, monitoring, and operational tooling for transactional workflows and drive improvements…
