Software Engineer - SnowCommand

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Develop and refine workflows that are critical to Snowflake’s business

- Design metrics and experiments to validate your insights

- Help to implement projects that span our stack, including Typescript services hosted in Snowflake and Kubernetes

- Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including product management and design

- Deliver features requiring close coordination with several partner teams

- Be a participant in defining the product vision and team planning

- Pinpoint problems, instrument relevant components as needed, and ultimately implement solutions

Our ideal Software Engineer will have:

- B.S. or M.S. degree in CS, or equivalent discipline

- 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience

- 2+ years maintaining a production system

- Interest in the State of the Art LLM-based solutions

- Experience with modern application design architecture, good API design patterns, performance and scale

- Experience in technologies such as Typescript, React, Node, Express.

- Experience with software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, design documentation

- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, especially in a cloud environment

- Great communication skills, both verbal and written and an interest in working with a diverse set of peers and external developers

- Genuine enjoyment of the art of building great products

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
